Flouride- What you need to know- Is it good or bad?

6 minutes, 48 seconds Read

There is a lot of debate surrounding the necessity and requirements for fluoride in our drinking water!

What people don’t realize is fluoride can be found in a number of things such as the food you eat, the utensils you cook with, and the beauty products you use such as toothpaste.

Some deep thinkers believe that our current lifestyles of what I refer to as the 3 p’s ( processed, packaged, and pre-cooked foods) along with toxins, pesticides, prescription drugs, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, tobacco, and more, are attributed to the calcification of our pineal gland or more famously known as the third eye.

The Pineal Gland is located inside of the brain and is 1 of 7 glands in our body that make up our endocrine system.

The 7 glands are your pineal gland of course, hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, reproductive, and pancreas. These glands are mainly responsible for hormone function. Hormones are the chemical messengers created by the body. They transfer information from one set of cells to another to coordinate the functions of the different parts of the body.

These hormones regulate many of the bodies chemical and physical processes such as the body’s growth, metabolism, sexual development and function along with sleep cycles. Some scientist have noted the pineal gland as a useless gland but the pineal gland is responsible for the production of melatonin, your sleep chemical. I don’t know about you, but sleep is pretty important to me, so taking care of my pineal gland has become just as important.

So How did fluoride make its way into our water?

Well first we should clear a few things up.

There are 2 types of fluoride, Calcium fluoride, and sodium fluoride.

Calcium Fluoride is a naturally occuring mineral in our soil, and ground water or spring water. It is the least toxic form of fluoride and in small doses is considered relatively harmless. This is probably due to its in-solubility, which means it is incapable of being fully dissolved and thus will not build up in the body.

Sodium fluoride however, is a synthetic toxic waste that accumulates in your tissues. Here, it can do damage to your pancreas, disrupt neurological processes and your endocrine system. Sodium Fluoride is also the code name for a mix of chemicals such as lead, arsenic, aluminum, cadmium, and even radioactive materials.

Even worse, Fluoride is a non-essential halogen (meaning we do not need it for daily human function). Fluoride even blocks the attachment of iodine (a very necessary halogen) in the pineal gland. Iodine is critical for proper thyroid function. Because Fluoride is in the same group of elements as iodine and is much smaller and reactive, it fights its way to prioritize itself. Here in the pineal gland, it crystallizes, leading to a partial loss of function and a chemical imbalance to your endocrine systems.

Do you know someone who suffers from a thyroid issue? I do too, many of them living a life restricted to the use of pharmaceutical drugs to cure themselves. Most of them unaware they can clear this up on their own. Of course there are extreme cases in which you might require medication and you should never start or stop taking a prescription drug without consulting with your doctor first but many have found instant relief in proper supplementation of long term deficiencies that later lead to illness.

How toxic is Fluoride and why do we use it?

The Us government believes that the use of fluoridation has reduced the amount of cavities and tooth decay. This is true, Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid. I mean you could just stop eating highly processed, sugar laden, and acidic based foods, but poisoning the water seems like a better option. In all seriousness we need to take charge of our health and the health of our teeth through more natural means. The one small benefit that fluoridated water has to offer, does not outweigh the many, many health risks associated with it. There are many other ways to prevent tooth decay and cavities.

If you’ve read this far you now know that Fluoride is a neurotoxin, but what you don’t know is the history behind it. The first intentional addition of fluoride to our drinking water occured in the 1930’s in Nazi Germany. Hitler added sodium fluoride to the water for the purpose of making the population more docile and submissive.

Ever wonder why there are warning labels on your toothpaste? The label clearly states to call a poison control center if the toothpaste has been ingested. You won’t find this warning on non-fluoridated toothpastes.

I was so intrigued by this I decided to dig a bit deeper and call the American association of poison control centers at 1-800-222-1222

The poison control center representative advised that ingesting toothpaste in a short term situation would likely only cause stomach upset but in a long term situations would lead to inflammation, bone loss, neurological issues, and many other health implications they could not get into on a non specific basis.

If the poison control representative’s knowledge does not provide you with enough evidence here are some links to famous medical journals that cite the use of fluoridation to increased health implications, including one of the top peer reviewed medical journals The Lancet.

How do I avoid fluoride?

I’m glad you asked! The best way to avoid fluoridation is in your water. Yes, switching to a non fluoridated toothpaste is great but most of the time it will not make a significant difference as you are not ingesting the toothpaste (well most of the time). You do however ingest fluoridated water. Whether you get your water from the tap, your fridge, a cheap water filter, or even from the bottle, you are being exposed to fluoridated water.

Almost every state adds fluoride to its public water supply. Yes, there is fluoride added to the water here in Rhode Island that comes from the scituate reservoir and no, your water purifier is not removing it! also most bottled water is coming from a municipal source ie. tap water and will contain fluoride as well.

I’ve partnered up with the best company that provides the best water filter on the market. I’m not here to sell you on this water filter. My main goal is to provide you with the information that can save the health of you and your family. What I am here to do is also provide you with the best products that can help you do that.

Think about the amount of contaminated water you and your family are ingesting. You drink this water, your pets drink this water (yes, it’s harmful to them too), you cook with it, and you shower with it.

Fluoride is getting into your system in more ways than 1

but your tap water is the biggest culprit.

If you would like to avoid your exposure to fluoride completely please consider purchasing a berkey water filter with fluoride adapter. This system is so advanced it is considered a water purifier and can even filter lake and pond water to drinkable standards.

Berkey is now offering 5% off of a system and accessory. Friends and family of stay sprouted are being offered an additional 10% off with code berkeylife at checkout. That’s 15% off the original price.

Trust me this investment will pay for itself in the $$$$ you spend in bottled water and the filters last anywhere from 2-5 years
